I am happy to announce that, using professional development funds from the NAS Science Policy Fellowship, I was able to get my ISA Certified Arborist credential! The last few months of studying have been a great chance to learn more about aspects of arboriculture that are less familiar to me (e.g. staking and cabling, how to work with construction crews). I am excited to continue working in the realm of urban forestry in the future!
